Mission Nearly Successful.

Mon Jan 14, 2008 at 08:14:48 PM PDT

Our MSM has nearly succeeded in another of their fun missions.  From behind serious veneers they've turned the fairy tale race issue into a reality.  LBJ had nothing to do with this dreamed-up fight, but HRC did.  By outragiously claiming that it was Obama drumming up the race card from her husband's remarks was like handing the MSM extra-hold hairspray and a lighter.

Bill was not making a racial statement.  He was referring to Obama's claims of not supporting the Iraq war as being a fairy tale.  That's legitimate criticism.  Any college educated journalist should have easily been able to discern this fact from, say, the fiction of LBJ once having had a dream that he then turned into reality by passing a law.  That didn't happen, either, and was never claimed to have happened by HRC.  Still, that's how it was taken.  This is because college educated journalists are either 1) Stupid jerks who can't follow a line of thought, or 2) Stupid jerks who like stirring up the black kettle.
If HRC, and Obama, had stood together against this claim of racism, as they are properly doing now, then these claims would have dissolved like fairy dust.  Instead, HRC ignited them in a very misguided attempt to prosper from their embers--kind of like Dick does with those of Iraq.
Fortunately, she has backed off the allegations and they are affirming what's in each others heart. This came just as the Democratic Party's heart was going into cardiac arrest.  If this stupid fight had continued to fester then that arrest would have become cardiac failure.
And who won the pretty pixie-doll on the shelf?  Your friendly neighborhood MSM station.  Those sober-minded folks asking questions of "qualified" talking heads who are all too happy for a chance to prove how brilliant they are.  Okay, some are (I like Gurgin).  After a clip of some idiot campaign agent, who takes the media's bait, they all get to talk about the issue as if it were real.  As if those sober-minded folks hadn't set the originating arson.
When the public is riled-up, or poisoned into sickness, it is always the MSM that wins.  That's why they incite mobs and shoot poison darts.
Every candidate wants to win.  HRC, nor Obama, will do so by allowing the MSM to dictate the issue, however.  Hopefully putting this fairy tale down, now that we've drifted off to sleep, will teach them this lesson.

...you mistakenly assume the MSM created the issue. The issue was created at Red State, later appeared here, and then in the MSM.

But I consider the blogs to be a form of media.  They're not the MSM, certainly, but they can obviously create an issue just the same.  My point is that candidates for our Party should not let that happen.  An issue only becomes real if we close our eyes, click our heels together 3X, and speak about it as if it is.  If, instead, the candidates stand together and say, "That's not an issue, I didn't take it that way, and now I'm going to talk about pie" then it would die a shameful death.
Hey, doesn't this comment act as a tip jar?  I believe so.  Thank you.
