RedState Needs YOUR help.

I'm getting e-mails from RedState.  Under a "know your enemy" principle I mess around from time to time on conservative blogs.  

So I just got this e-mail...

I have bad news.

moving forward.  Assuming we meet our goal this week, we will be
able to launch our fully armed and operational RedState in the
next month.

The new RedState will bring awesome tools online for the right
to fight.

Here, specifically, is what we're planning to accomplish with
your generous financial support ...

In February, we will be launching RedState v.3.0 - a complete
website overhaul that will be our own specially-created platform
designed to give us all the capabilities, power and independence
to serve you, our readers with everything you want and deserve.

Here are just a few of the features that we'll be adding to our
website - or bringing back by popular demand:

improved tools for state and local blogging

online activism channels

enhanced social networking

a conservative job/volunteer board

special tools for easier posting

tools for tracking new comments and total comments

user access to comments

ability to track recent activity on the site

Upgrades and improvements like these will immeasurably enhance
the RedState.com experience for you and other readers - and help
to attract new readers and thereby extend our influence during
this crucial election season.

But the v.3.0 upgrade will not come cheap. And to make it

    •  Hmm...we could still offer to do it...we'd put in

      some 'enhancements' they didn't even have to request of course.  For instance, I'd love to change size of font used on user comments to reflect counts of Recommend or Not Recommend...and after it reaches +72 it could reset to 1 pt font.  Negative font sizes just wouldn't display at all.  If some absurd source is cited, like Drudge, the software would require additional citations from publications that verify their stories.  Hey, we could use this stuff here too!
