Gonna have to ignore anything looking like a candidate diary

I'll admit it - I'm still on the fence as far as who to support for the Democratic presidential nomination. (I'm going to have to decide in the next week if I'm going to apply to be a convention delegate...but I'm in Florida, another story...but I digress.....)

However, I've decided that this is NOT the place to come any longer for information to help me make up my mind.

The minute a candidate is mentioned it devolves into a "my candidate is best", "your candidate is the spawn of satan" slugfest, running into the hundreds of comments. Frankly, they are no longer worth my time to wade through.

You're going to have to do something more to get my attention.

I'm going to have to rely upon Cheers & Jeers to provide my window into the world of sanity (a freightening thought LOL) and diary rescue to help weed through the trash.

Are we going to have to settle for pootie pics to inform us between now and the final selection of a candidate?

So please, GIVE IT A REST.

    people would recommend it blindly without reading it.

    Frankly, I don't read any piece with a Candidate's name in the title or stop reading as soon as I detect it is related to one.

    None of them are relevant. They are simply drivel and having nothing to offer.

    I may get TR'd for this but I'm tired of the campaign Bull-honkey. It's meaningless at this point.

  I concur with you wholeheartedly.  The last thing I need to read -- apart from the latest scandal involving Britney Spears or anything having to do with Tom Brady -- is another candidate diary.

  I went to the candidate diaries asking questions and was treated like a spy from a rival campaign ("you're only asking that to stir up trouble"), so yeah, they're no help at all.

  It's definitely a low signal to noise ratio at the moment.  But living in Canada now kinda helps remove me from much of the insanity and it's interesting to hear my Canadian friends' take on the cycle.  They're amazed at how the big issues are ignored (bad economy, global warming, peak oil) and much of the fighting is over truly lame crap that will never affect anyone's life ever.

      Butters is all of 8 weeks old and he launches full-scale attacks at both of the bigger kitties in the house.  He also attacks ankles, toes, string, balls, fuzzy things and whatever else crosses his path.  

      All that while being completely cute.

        where her toys are kept.  She also likes the lowest shelf of the refrigerator (we close it up for a few minutes to convey the message), cupboards, and has even gotten into a small drawer.

        Baby-proofing a house is a piece of cake, compared to cat-proofing.

  Even though the media, (and this site), have paid so much attention to the Dem contest, I still can't make up my mind. I'm not even sure I will show up and vote on Feb. 5th, and all the rage and passion about which candidate is best has been a total turn-off.

  diaries bemoaning candidate diaries (well, at least after this one). Its a political blog. Deal with it. And although there is a lot of trash, there are plenty of excellent, thoughtful candidate diaries if you take the time to discern the former from the latter.
