Updated: Link My F***ing Videos, Kos! A request re: YouTube videos in diaries

A lot of people have been posting YouTube videos in diaries lately.  That's great; I love watching them.  The problem, however, is that every time the AJAX stuff fires (especially for story updates), the videos reset, making it very difficult to watch them.  So the request is this:

When you embed a YouTube video in a dairy or comment, please also post the link directly to the YouTube page pollowing the video so we can click that and go watch it on YouTube directly, thus avoiding those annoying resets.

I know this isn't exactly a substantive diary, but if you could rec it so people see it, I (and probably others) would really appreciate it.  Thanks.

Well, looks like you can click anywhere other than on the play icon to do exactly what I wanted to do.  I don't know why I never tried that, but I'd bet a lot of other never thought to do so either.  This is a basic usability issue - YouTube should add a second icon to open in a new window.  Otherwise, how would anyone ever expect that clicking outside of the play icon would do that (there's no visual indication of that whatsoever).  Wish more designers would bother to learn about usability.  LOL

    on the video itself and it takes me to the Youtube page of the video, that might help, if people still don't post links.

    There's no need for that.
    Try, instead, clicking anywhere in the YouTube screen BUT the play arrow.

  but whenever I double click on an embedded vid, it always opens up the YouTube page directly.

•  You may want to try

  temporarily unchecking the Autorefresh box in the gray box just above the first comment.  This seems to work for me.  You can always recheck it after the video finishes.

    I'm not seening YouTube Videos at all.  This is the second day and it's not just dKos, it's digby and atrios and FDL too.

    Firefox 1.5.0.12, XP SP2.
