Thank You sarahlane

For your inspiration and relentless support of John Edwards.   I don't know you, never met you, but you have inspired me, and taught me quite a lot of things, and not just about John Edwards.

This may not be appropriate for a diary, I'm not sure, but I wanted to thank you and give others, so inclined, an opportunity to thank you for all you've contributed to John Edwards' campaign and all the information and heartfelt discussion and diaries you brought here to DKos.

I don't know how you're feeling today.  I can only try to imagine.  I know how I feel... or rather I don't know quite how I feel yet, but I know it's pretty bad.

I haven't done any work on the Edwards campaign, other than to talk to as many people as I could about his plans.  And contribute... as recently as this week.

All the time you've devoted to his campaign, I, for one, appreciate it.  If you and people like you hadn't worked so hard and gave up so much to help get his ideas and plans out into the public arena, I believe that this election would be on a different footing now, and not for the better.  You and all his supporters and workers have moved to the goal post to a better place.

I won't go into how I feel after learning the news today... This diary is just simply to Thank You and everyone here who supported John Edwards and helped get his messages out to people here at DKos, and to thank you for helping me make up my mind to support him.

And one more thing:  Any campaign or organization would be lucky to have you on their side as an advocate.

  They kept the focus on the issues and on the campaign when no one in the media did.

  I've already voted for Edwards in the CA primary, and would do it again in a heartbeat. For now I'll go back to voting for whomever the nominee is with a "D" in November.

  All my campaign money is now going to Dodd, and congressional campaigns: CA-04, CO-02, WY-AL, and ID-01. The presidential candidates are on their own until after the convention.

  to Sarahlane and TomP and the entire EENR team. You guys and gals are awesome and a big part of why I chose to support John in the primary.

  I was numb when I first heard the news today, couldn't even cry (as I mentioned in another diary) but after reading this heartfelt diary the tears just started flowing! I think I'll go have a good cry in my pillow now :(

    dry-eyed all morning until reading this diary, then the faucet turned on.  (And I'm at work :S )

    But it's amazing how much the EENR team has kept us sane, made us family, revved us up on bad days, stoked our pride and talking points for our guy...  I am so utterly grateful.

  out... but just from my own reading here at DKos, I personally followed Sarah's diaries, so that's who I focused on.  I didn't always read all the Edwards' diaries, but I know who some supporters are, and I was afraid I'd leave some out if I listed more names.

  I hope that makes sense.
