Filthy McNasty has obviously been taking lessons at the Sarah Palin School of Public Speaking. He must be a very good student because every day he makes less and less sense.
McCain was asked by the MSNBC anchor why he voted for it if it had so much objectionable pork and spending during an economic crisis that has us on the "brink of economic disaster."
"Because of what you just said," McCain replied. "This bill is putting us on the brink of economic disaster."
He then went on to say that he'd fought against other pork-laden bills. Take a look at the youtube video below the fold.
This is a s a slo-mo meltdown, and we're all watching it right before our very eyes. McNasty could barely contain his rage and condescension Tuesday when he was speaking before reporters from the Des Moines Register and then this gaffe this morning on CNN . One can only conclude that behind the scenes, the entire campaign is imploding. John McCain and Sarah Palin...two of the "W"orst people to put at the top of a presidential ticket. But then, the GOP has always strived for mediocrity!
In another moment during some irrelevant banter about baseball later in the interview, McCain flatly said he wasn't rich.
McCAIN: I think it's very possible that both of those teams -- both the Dodgers and the Red Sox -- could surprise everyone.
JOE SCARBOROUGH: Boy, well those are two class organizations --
McCAIN: -- but that shows you why I'm not a rich man. [laughs]
Not Rich? I thought he passed the $5 million threshold with his wife's $120 million dollars.
Have any of you read the new Rolling Stone piece on McCain that is just hitting the news stands? It's a real eye opener.....circa1974:
"I'm going to the Middle East," Dramesi says. "Turkey, Kuwait, Lebanon, Iran."
"Why are you going to the Middle East?" McCain asks, dismissively.
"It's a place we're probably going to have some problems," Dramesi says.
"Why? Where are you going to, John?"
"Oh, I'm going to Rio."
"What the hell are you going to Rio for?"
McCain, a married father of three, shrugs.
"I got a better chance of getting laid."

And then there is another Flip/Flop from McCain today:
Yesterday, John McCain responded to right-wing attacks on debate moderator Gwen Ifill (over a book she's writing about politics and race) reasonably, saying he thought the PBS correspondent would be "totally objective." But today on "Fox and Friends" he turned that endorsement into something more like a warning.
The Politico reports:
McCain also went further than he had yesterday in responding to a question about Gwen Ifill serving as the moderator of tonight's veep debate, saying he preferred somebody else.
"Frankly, I wish they had picked a moderator that isn't writing a book favorable to Barack Obama," McCain said of Ifill, who is examining the rise of the Illinois Democrat and other post-civil rights Let's face it. But I have to have to have confidence that Gwen Ifill will handle this as the professional journalist that she is."
"Life isn't fair, as I mentioned earlier in the program."
