Republicans are trying to play the association game? How about a very simple add showing that Barack has support from moderate conservatives. I know some of the people below might not be DailyKos' favorite folks, but we are talking to middle America.
Also I know Colin Powell hasn't technically come out for Barack, but even using someone else I think it would be a powerful ad.
Jim Leach saying 'I trust Barack Obama's judgement and his ability to reach across the isle.

Lincoln Chafee saying 'I trust Barack Obama's judgement on taxes.

Rita Hauser saying 'I trust Barack Obama's judgement on identifying our enemies.'
Text below her: President Bush's Foreign Intelligence Advosory Board
Jim Whitaker saying 'I trust Barack Obama's judgement on energy.'
Text below him: Repuiblican Mayor of Fairbanks Alaska
Susan Eisenhower saying 'I trust Barack Obama's judgement for America's future.'
Text: Dwight D. Eisenhower's granddaughter and active Republican
Rev. Kirbyjon Caldwell saying 'I trust Barack Obama's judgement on thoughtful theology.'

Doug Kmiec saying 'I trust Barack Obama's judgement on Constitutional Law and Supreme Court justices.

There could be better choices. These are just the republican endorsements I had off the top of my head. I think it's a powerful argument. If McCain tries to say to question Obama's judgement, why not show examples of people whose judgement moderate republicans and independents should not questions.
I think it would be a powerful ad.
