The GOP is the party of teenagers. The thrive on gossip, whining, self promotion, and their peers talking about how awesome they are. They throw good parties, by maxing out their credit cards, trashing their folks house, and breaking a few laws along the way.
They think they are invincible, drive recklessly to show off with disregard for anyone who gets in their way. They love talking about how independent they are, while living in mommy and daddy's home, eating their food, and driving their cars. In short, they're fun people to hang out with and be friends with... They always throw the best parties, they know how to get into movies free, they can get discounts from their friends who work at the mall and burger joints. They're the popular girls who gossip and have the exclusive lunch table, which is why rumors have more weight than truth. They're obsessed with who's screwing who, hating the nerds and geeks and anyone who is different. Kicking peoples ass is always the best and only answer to a problem, and oh yes, lipstick.... Can't ever have too much lipstick.
The Democrats on the other hand, are the party of adults. Conversations are boring and intellectual, positions are nuanced. Direct violence is seen as being ineffective compared to other methods to compel compliance. They talk to their adversaries, they seek win win situations, and they simply are not concerned about the gossip that doesn't effect our lives. Adults have learned what is important enough to bother with, and what is trivial.
So after 8 years of the teenage gossips running the country, is it any surprise that our bank account is overdrawn, our house is trashed, our car is breaking down due to lack of maintenance, and our friends have all left us. I mean, the party was a blast, but eventually everyone has to go home and get a real job to pay bills.
Isn't time to put the trust of our country back into the hand of adults? You wouldn't let your teenager throw a rager while you're out of town, so why give them the white house?
