Lee Hirsch has been on the ground in Joplin, Missouri shooting the first of a series of 'Local Voices' ads. He posted some select rough cuts from his interview with Dana Snodgrass, a respected Businessman in Joplin, MO. Father of two, cattle farmer and owner of the local Auto Body Shop. You can get a feel for where this first ad will be going as we fight for Southwest Missouri from the video:
A friend of Lee's, award winning filmmaker John Allen & his team are on the ground in the Reno, Nevada area as of yesterday shooting another ad for this series. John is taking time out from projects in development which explore the transmission of tradition through popular culture; such as Barge People, a film about the disappearing family tradition of river shipping in Europe; and Lovely Chaos, a thought provoking portrait of a mother and daughter’s 12 year struggle to ‘make it’ in Hollywood for this effort to help make certain that Barack Obama is our next President.
Lee has put together a special page for this work at localvoicesforobama.com as an easy reference to track the progress of this work, preview the other interviews, comment on the stories and to share with others.
We are currently airing the 'Thank John McCain' spot in Colorado & Nevada:
Next steps are to keep the 'Local Voices' project moving forward. I will post the final version of our first in that series as soon as it is fully edited this weekend. We're also pushing to air 'Thank John McCain' an ad made even more relevant by the current economic situation in battleground states of VA, IN and FL, as well as our first ad Judgment, which also has a Spanish language version now:
If you can help us with the airing of 'Thank John McCain' and 'Judgment' (both English & Spanish) in battleground states next week and/or the 'Local Voices' project, please contribute at TruthandHope.Org.
