A) First kiddie porn, now ID theft:
What will the FBI do next? Make and market Crystal Meth?, an online watering hole for thousands of identify thieves, hackers and credit card swindlers, has been secretly run by an FBI cybercrime agent for the last two years, until its voluntary shutdown earlier this month, according to documents unearthed by a German radio network.

Reports from the German national police obtained by the Südwestrundfunk, Southwest Germany public radio, blow the lid off the long running sting by revealing its role in nabbing a German credit card forger active on DarkMarket. The FBI agent is identified in the documents as J. Keith Mularski, a senior cybercrime agent based at the National Cyber Forensics Training Alliance in Pittsburgh, who ran the site under the hacker handle Master Splynter.

b) Silly Sarah (I REALLY hope we don't repeat this term for the next four years)

Palin appeared flustered as she stopped reading from the prepared remarks, which were coming across her teleprompter.

"I would hope at least that those protesters have the courage and the honor of thanking our veterans for giving them the right to protest!" she admonished the confused crowd.

Palin's husband Todd tried to put an end to the awkward episode by approaching his wife on stage and telling her, "They just can't hear you back there. That's it."

Palin responded, "OK. I'm doing that," and then continued with her stump speech.

OK, I'm doing that? - - -

c) A very expensive screw. Today's s'AINT, TIM MAHONEY (D-Fla)

West Palm Beach Congressman Tim Mahoney (D-FL), whose predecessor resigned in the wake of a sex scandal, agreed to a $121,000 payment to a former mistress who worked on his staff and was threatening to sue him, according to current and former members of his staff who have been briefed on the settlement, which involved Mahoney and his campaign committee.

The affair between Congressman Tim Mahoney and Patricia Allen began, according to current and former staffers, in 2006 when Mahoney was campaigning for Congress against Foley, promising "a world that is safer, more moral."

Mahoney, who is married, also promised the woman, Patricia Allen, a $50,000 a year job for two years at the agency that handles his campaign advertising, the staffers said.

Considering that 95% of America is safer and more moral than Former congresscritter Foley, it really takes some doing to fall into that 5%. Unless you work in Congress. Mahoney should start looking for work elsewhere. Soon.

d) Silly Sarah - energy idiot
The so-called energy expert from I'llAska, you betcha, did not know about a new compressed natural gas plant in California that could story the billions of barrels available for export in Alaska. So much for energy independence.

In early 2007, an Alaskan liquefied natural gas plant owned by Marathon Oil and ConocoPhillips requested Department of Energy permission to export some of the fuel. Palin entered the discussion in April, but only to ensure that Alaska's natural gas needs would be included in the deal.

In unrelated news, the European Union banned the sale incandescent light bulbs, which will result in 60% lower electrical demand for lighting over the next few years.

Yo, Barack, John? Where are you guys on something simple like this?
Anyone? Anyone? Beuller? - - -

f) Silly Sarah, Part tres

Yesterday's Headline: ''Palin reprimanded for abuse of power as Alaska governor.''

Another Headline: ''Palin says McCain will end abuses of power.''

Yet another Headline: ''Palin claims the Troopergate report completely exonerates her.''

Is she that stupid, or is she simply a Dick Cheney in training?

You must add at least one tag to this diary before publishing it.

Add keywords that describe this diary. Separate multiple keywords with commas.
Tagging tips - Search For Tags - Browse For Tags

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from your hotlist?
Are you sure you want to remove your recommendation? You can only recommend a diary once, so you will not be able to re-recommend it afterwards.
