Well, I’ m abgin, and here and now start the race for the virtual President Obama. I glad find in this site very much democratic people.

I not like decide, only the minimum, I like the people vote free, and this site let make polls. We can to prove. I have design this system for the people can vote all candidates. I think can take good results, and help Obama to decide :).

I find names, all names, with few limits. I must tell I let out polls the candidates born in 1940 or before. The reasons are the next. I think this generation let to the democratic party his bests members in the Carter and Clinton’s cabinets, and the majority of the bests candidates are out of politic today. If we think McCain is old for president, is not easy have members of this age in the Obama’s cabinet. I decide let out of polls by that, and because they can duplicate my polls and is so difficult find alls. Very much work for few possibility (i think) of see one in the cabinet.

I selected for polls all democratic politics born in 1941 or later, what are or was be in the first places of the United States Order of Precedence. The list of candidates includes all former members of cabinets, all senators and former senators, and all state governors and former state governors. The list Included virtually elected candidates and candidates in closed races for this elections and few independents. I must cut here and let out the members and former members of the Congress (level 28 in order), and to down in this general order of precedence because the number of candidates increases very much.

Get out of polls two groups of politics born in 1941 or later.

First group: Former Presidents, former Vice Presidents, members of the 2008 blue ticket and wife if she is not politic. Reason obvious.

001 William Jefferson Clinton (1946- ) AR - President of United States of America 93-01.

Good luck to all candidates!

RACE TO OBAMA'S CABINET: FINAL RESULTS II & BEST OFFICE FOR JENNIFER GRANHOLM
RACE TO OBAMA'S CABINET: BEST OFFICE FOR WILLIAM BRADLEY

PS: The nexts days i will make the polls (one by day, like tell the limits) what you can see in the estructure. I like make polls well balanced, because i not like the best candidates be in same poll in previous round. But i not can decide, for that the order is mathematical, like in tennis championships, based in order of precedence and the year of take the office.

PS2: I make few changes in the Structure for include the candidates propossed in comments. I make few changes in the Calendary cause problems with computer.

PS3: Like in last hours and days of our Semifinal Round we are knowing some nominations for the cabinet, and like we want help Obama, we will let fixed knows nominations and for that i must make changes in the Final Round process.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

  •  Uhhh... stop putting the cart before the horse (0+ / 0-)

Let's elect Obama president first, and THEN we'll decide who's best for each cabinet position.  Right now, our focus should be an electoral humiliation for the Republicans.  No measuring drapes.

And who's a member of the blue race, anyway?

On a more serious note, I can't wait to see what a cabinet appointed by such an intelligent man will accomplish. There's a lot of ground to regain.

obviously CLUELESS about America or American Politics.

Hey abgin, Dude, go home, leave American leadership to American Leaders.

Obama does not need you or your help. I assure you.

And, for the record, I, as an American, am insulted that you would attempt to meddle in our affairs with such blatant manipulations. Do NOT try this again.

And, btw, your command of the English language is so irritatingly poor, so atrocious, and so inadequate, that I honestly do not even have the patience to read your diary, much less would I ever, or would ANY true kossack worth their salt ever, recommend your diary, in fact, if you keep posting, you will probably get banned .... and, for the record, your IP will be logged. So just stop while your ahead. Give it up. Go home.

      •  I hope Mr ArthurPoet (0+ / 0-)

I hope u not be agressive when u need win spanish vote for Obama in states like New Mexico or Florida. Im not afraid by my IP. I feel myshelf protected here.

I respect all people here, you included, and i think i respect all the rules.

I let people to vote, and i desing semifinals and repechages for mix the polls and let people talk about all, like u are making.

        Good day.

        •  fair enough, and if your goal is to assist (0+ / 0-)

in the election, then that should be your focus, now,

          this is a premature diary,

the election is all that matters until nov.5!

          after that,

then, maybe your discourse would be salient and timely.

I don't speak, nor write, spanish, so that paragraph is lost on me.

  •  "Precedence" no good criterion (0+ / 0-)

Historically, I'm not sure the order of precedence is a very good guide to who gets considered for cabinet positions. Going by your criteria, the following members of Clinton's first cabinet would have been left off the list:

State: Christopher (former Deputy State Sec'y and Deputy AG)
    Defense: Aspin(congressman)
    Attorney General: Reno (district attorney)
    Agriculture: Espey (congressman)
    Commerce: Ron Brown (DNC Chair)
    Labor: Reich (academic)
    HHS: Shalala (academic)
    HUD: Cisneros (mayor)
    Energy: O'Leary (businesswoman)
Veterans Affairs: Jesse Brown (state official)

Your list would have included Bentsen (Treasury), Babbitt (Interior), Riley (Education)--and I think that's about it. So you would have excluded from consideration a large majority of the candidates who were actually selected.

    •  More candidates (0+ / 0-)

When you like you can propose more candidates not included by precedence critery. I add alls with interest.

I have my favourite candidates out of list, but i not must propose mines.

      •  OK, why not? (0+ / 0-)
I agree with those who think this is premature, but I think it's a harmless indulgence. I 'm a daydreamer.

Here are a few people who don't meet your precedence standard, as far as I know, but who seem like reasonably likely prospects for various cabinet-level jobs:

Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York

        Artur Brown, Congressman.

Valerie Barrett, housing executive and longtime Obama adviser

Cassandra Butts, longtime Obama policy adviser and former Gephardt adviser

Laura D'Andrea Tyson (economic adviser to Clinton, former Dean of the London School of Economics)

Richard Danzig, former Secretary of the Navy

Rudy DeLeon, former Deputy Secretary of Defense

Christopher Edley, dean of Berkeley Law and former Clinton adviser

Stuart Eisenstat, former Deputy Secretary of the Treasury.

Maria Eschaveste, former Department of Labor official and White House Deputy Chief of Staff

Timothy Geithner, President of the New York Federal Reserve

        Scott Gration, retired General

Richard Holbrooke, former asst. secretary of state

Eric Holder, former Deputy Attorney General

        Rush Holt, Congressman.

        Jim Jones, retired General

Elena Kagan, Dean of the Harvard Law School and former Clinton adviser

        Caroline Kennedy, attorney and author

Joel Klein, head of the New York City school system

        Jim Leach, former Congressman

Sylvia Mathews Burwell, former Deputy Chief of Staff and Deputy OMB director, Current President of the Gates Foundation's Global Development Program.

        Ron Noble, head of INTERPOL

John Podesta, former White House Chief of Staff, current head of the Obama transition team.

        Loretta Sanchez, Congresswoman

        •  Thanks, all will be added (0+ / 0-)

All new candidates will be added in the PS1 list. And i study like integrate this new list in the system off polls in function of his final number.

Richard Holbrooke is the 4X-018 candidate.
John Podesta is the 4X-014 candidate.

Thanks, if you like add more names of candidates, you can in nexts days. The number of candidates not is problem. You can propose more. The next days we continue with previous round polls.
