Republican presidential candidates have a history of annoying unsuspecting musicians by using their songs while campaigning, and 2008 is no exception.
So far this election season, John McCain has angered Van Halen, Jackson Browne, The Foo Fighters, and Orleans through unlawful and unpermitted use of their songs.
The latest addition to this list is rock band Heart. In the first week of September, founding member Nancy Wilson requested that McCain and the Republicans stop using Heart's song 'Barracuda.' The campaign ignored it.
After weeks of hearing McCain play the song at campaign events, the Wilson sisters Ann and Nancy wrote him this eviscerating letter, lucidly explicating their thoughts and feelings.
Ouch, Senator. Ouch.
(Oh by the way, this was a spoof.)
