Tom Daschle to Keith Olbermann after the debate:
"2/3 of the American people think [McCain is] an angry candidate, and for 90 minutes, he tried to convince the other third."
This is the line we should all be repeating, IMHO. It perfectly captures the essence of the evening. (Other commentators alluded to McCain's "anger management" problem, but none as neatly and effectively as this.)
Anyone who doubts Daschle's words, should look at this (as I'm sure thousands will by tomorrow morning):
It seemed to me that McCain got nastier, more snide and erratic, as the evening went on. My guess is his meds can only hold him for so long.
