Is this all the McCain campaign has left, to attack Michelle? Cindy, stumping for her old man in Miami (from Jill Zuckman, Chicago Tribune):
MIAMI - At a packed rally at Florida International University in Miami, Cindy McCain repeated one of her most controversial lines this afternoon. "And yes," she told the screaming, pom-pom waving crowd. "I have always been proud of my country."
The line is a reference to something Michelle Obama said during the primaries. "For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback," said Obama, taking heat for the remark.

And I thought family members were off-limits? This is a real sign of the McCains' desperation and low-class.
No one has rocketed in favorability more than Michelle has over the course of the campaign, so this one is going to backfire. These favorability numbers are old, and I imagine Michelle ratings are even higher now. From Rasmussen in late August:
Just days after Michelle Obama addressed the Democratic National Convention, a Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that her favorability ratings have reached their highest levels since tracking began and she is now viewed more favorably than Cindy McCain.

Michelle has been the symbol of grace, good humor, and being bigger-than-it-all. She has been a model of restraint, unlike Cindy, who tries to insinuate herself everywhere and has generally gotten a free pass.
Think Michelle would’ve gotten away with the stuff has Cindy done on the campaign?
- Cindy’s 9/11 showboating: While conspiracy theorists were wondering why Michelle wasn’t at Ground Zero, shouldn’t they have asked if Cindy should’ve been there? She looked like a buffer between Barack and McCain, as if she were scared that they might actually interact.
- Cindy in Georgia: What is she, a Secretary of State proxy?
- Cindy and the "chills-through-her-body" stump speech: Imagine if Michelle made even the most mild criticism of John?
Two words to send more chills-through-your-body: Michelle 2016!
