MIAMI — Republican presidential nominee John McCain said on Friday an Ohio man dubbed "Joe the Plumber," who raised questions about Democrat Barack Obama's tax plan, was being smeared by Democratic attacks
Really John, do you go there? I find this really rich (and not in a good way) from a man representing a party that smeared the Frost family and Wilkerson family for standing up an telling their TRUE stories about sCHIP and how that program saved their children.
Where were you John, did you tell your party and Mitch McConnell, and the pundits and talkers on your side of the aisle to tone it down, to stop attaching these families? Or were you MIA?
You see I haven't forgotten.
I posted dairies twice on the danger of Malkin's behavior posed for the Frost family. Here and here. Did you EVER take a stand in defense of the Frosts or the Wlkersons?
Or did you lend tacit approval by your silence?
You speak about honor and protecting one's family. But where were you on the very real possibility that your side, headed by Mitch McConnell (though he denied it - it was later found that his office was knee deep in it), put the lives, health and safety of children at risk when their addresses were published on the web. For any sick pervert to wind up on their doorstep.
Speaking at a lively rally in Miami, McCain said Joe Wurzelbacher, of Holland, Ohio, was being punished for asking Obama a legitimate question.
"Last weekend, Sen. Obama showed up in Joe's driveway to ask for his vote, and you know what Joe did? He asked Senator Obama a tough question. I'm glad he did; I think Senator Obama could use a few more tough questions," McCain said.
"He wasn't recruited or prompted by our campaign. He just asked a question. And Americans ought to be able to ask Senator Obama tough questions without being smeared and targeted with political attacks," he said.
September and October 2007 Graeme Frost and his family were punished for giving the United States Democratic Party weekly radio address (9/28/07) about the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) and how it helped him and his sister.
Like wise when TrueMajorityAction put out an ad supporting the expansion and increase funding of SCHIP they used a true story. The story of 2 year old Bethany Wilkerson born with a serious heart problem. The right wing when into full smear mode again.
Where were you John? May I call you John? You were MIA.
Americans ought to be able to tell their story of how certain government programs have helped them, especially children. The ones you claimed to care so much about. The reason you state that you are so proudly pro-life (this election cycle).
Unlike these children and their families, Joe the Plumber lied. Yes Michelle Malkin tried to say they lied but everything she put out there was so shot down that good ole Mitch let her twist in the wind, holding the bag.
Joe Wurzelbacher lied about who he was, he lied about how much the business he wanted to buy (said he was buying) made in annual profits, he lied about his ability to buy that business, need I go on?
I mean if there was ever a poster boy for a risky recipient of a loan, he's it.
If you think tough questions from a citizen is such a good thing Senator, why can't the media and the general public, those who support you and those who do not, ask you and Governor Palin serious and tough questions?
After all Joe the fake plumber is your supporter, not Obama's.
