Today was a beautiful rainy day in Charlotte, NC. I stood in line at the library for an hour in the rain, stood with strangers who became friends by the time we reached the door, and left with an uplifted heart.
I have been voting at the same library location for years now, and have never feel and seen such determined good cheer. People were talking, laughing together, sharing umbrellas, standing in a driving rain for over an hour to vote. There may have been McCain/Palin voters in line, but the odds are against. According to the papers today, over 7,000 people turned out on a rainy Friday to vote and over 64 percent were democrats. We blew them away
