Well, we didn't get 100,000 for our rally in Alaska's capital city (population ~30K), but then again the weather wasn't exactly as nice as they had in St. Louis today. It was 44 degrees F with horizontal rain--a typical fall day in SE Alaska--for the rally organized by our local Mendenhall Valley Campaign for Change volunteers. We had some speakers (local pols, students, volunteers) whose remarks were all mercifully brief. Besides rallying the troops, we ate roast pig and signed up volunteers for GOTV in the coming days.
Kudos to all the volunteers who made the rally happen, and especially Mark Miller for originating the idea and pushing to make it happen!
