Not much of a diary, but I thought the news would be welcome: Nevada early voting began today.
In Clark County (the most populous county in the state), 25,592 people voted today. That's nearly double the 14,000 who voted in 2004 on the first day of early voting.
The high-profile raid of the local ACORN chapter in Las Vegas hasn't apparently had any effect on voter enthusiasm. This is a potentially-critical state in the most important election in at least a generation. I think the voters get it.
UPDATE: As of about 12:30 PDT, the number has been revised downward to 25,105 (h/t HigherPie). Still a record and I have no idea why the revision, but it's disturbing to see 2% of the total "disappear."
