First, you need a great location for your party. I recommend a beautiful organic farm, like La Milpa Organica. (If you live in San Diego, these parties are held monthly and you're invited.)
Here's our party location... under the trees.
Here are a few more pictures of the gorgeous scenery:
What a view!
This is the same corn & field as the previous pic, from a different angle
Second, decorate well. This party was a harvest festival so we had an abundance of gourds and flowers.
The smoke you can see in this pic is from the pizza oven.
Third, invite your guests.
"We'd like a veggie pizza... but please hold the dough, tomatoes, and cheese. Just give us the greens."
"We're not picky like those rabbits. We'll eat anything."
"Actually, Jill, your purse looks tasty enough. Nevermind the pizza."
"Did somebody say pizza?"
OK, I'll be honest. We invited humans too. For example, this guy:
As we made pizza, we were treated to spectacular Native American dancing.
Now, you're ready to make your pizza!
Ingredients:
- Dough
- Basil
A mixture of herbs, including basil.
- Onions
Onions on the bottom... the big plant is amaranth
Ramona shows off her onions.
- Japanese eggplant
Eggplant and peppers
- Tomato sauce
- Garlic
- Miscellaneous other items... pine nuts, olive oil, whatever's lying around.
Assemble all ingredients into a pizza and bake them for about 10-15 minutes in the wood-fired oven.
Delicious!
Make pizza and party late into the night.
