Hey. How ya doin'??? Don't like the title?? Who cares?
You're not gonna like the whole diary. So whiny whiny whiny.
Today. Today is the day Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama met in Florida and it appears they seem to be quite "over it" in a way a lot of people are not.
So in this diary I am going to define "over it."
Now what does "over it" mean?
Does it mean Clintoneeeeestas now think Clinton is an awful person??
Does it mean Clintoneeeestas now think "Wow, those Obama supporters were right."?
NO!
Getting "over it" will not mean any of that. EVER. NEVER. Don't like it. Wanna be right MORE than you want to help solve America's problems, then keep doing what Josh Marshall does.
Getting over it will probably mean that the grievances will be valued less important than winning the General Election. And on that count, for those people who think those grievances precede the more immediate goal, those are the PUMAs, and blah blah blah... Write a comment about them if you want, it won't be about me!
Today. On this day when Hillary and Barack met in Florida smiling like the good friends they are, Josh Marshall promotes an emailer, an unhinged virulent piece of angry spital:
I don't want to diminish the extent to which the McCain campaign has mired itself in the muck, but I think you are losing the forest for the trees. It should be noted that for whatever reason, McCain has so far refused to go places that Hillary went in the primary (Wright, explicit comments about "hard-working, white" Americans supporting her, distributing emails with pictures of Obama in Muslim garb, etc.).
Oh really????
Well isn't that just special?? Now who's "over it"?
Who's still fighting the primary?
Now I know all the narratives are already set in stone on this blog, but hey, let's do this for shits and giggles.
- Hillary never went there on Wright. There was no campaign on Wright. It took weeks before she would even answer one question on the issue. And then what she said is You can choose your pastor, I would not have chosen Rev. Wright to be my pastor. There were no ads. She didn't break the story. Mark Penn didn't break the story. And despite the fact that this pastor said the most HATE FILLED DISGUSTING AND REPELLENT things about her and her husband in front of a WILDLY CHEERING congregation, she merely stated she would not choose him as her pastor.
One down, two to go...
- Unless you believe that the AP itself is racist for conducting a poll, asking about race, and then releasing results DEFINED by race, is racist, then you can't believe Clinton is also trying to bait that issue. Over and over again, you turned on the news and every single goddamned pundit and newsreporter talks about the polls and says "White working class voters".... over and over and over again, and not one Obama supporter breaths a moment of outrage over those pundits and newsreporters. But Clinton says the same thing, the same damn thing every other poll, newsreporter, pundit, etc, says and dammit, yeah, outrage is a great GOTV tool, highly commended, blah blah blah, but however much farther that has to be dragged out is really..... up.... to..... you! And besides. She apologized for it, admitted she spoke out of line.
- Drudge distributed the muslim garb photo.
So... while Hillary and Barack are giving each other a big hug on the tarmac in So. Florida, why is Josh Marshall rehashing the Primary??? Who knows???
One last thing.
I didn't bring this up.
Josh did.
If Josh can keep his shit in his basket, I'm not writing one word of this. Go write your emails to Josh and tell HIM the Primary is over.
Thanks for reading.
