As a resident of the 6th district I must offer up a big hearty thank your to the entire blogisphere coming together in the last few days to help out an important, but too long "in the shadows" race. Today El Tinklenberg's campaign to oust Rep. Michele Bachmann announced that they have raised $1,000,000 since her comments on Friday nights Hardball show.
Check it out here, along with Palin and Hayes info:

The entire cycle up to this point El had raised a million bucks, and had a decent ground game in place. El did lack name id, but he should not have that problem anymore. Lots of free media, and the announcement that the DCCC is adding a million bucks to the race.
I feel like I am sitting at ground zero of one of the strangest races this cycle. I have been here for lots of important races over the years, and it is pretty cool to be honest.
I want everyone to know to know we can pull this off. No matter what happens, a race that was not on the radar only a week ago is now one of the top races in the country because of all of us working together.
This could happen and and it would be an oh so happy day:
Al Franken is leading the senate race. He could take out Norm Coleman for a senate seat pickup.
Ashwin Madia is leading the open seat house race in the 3rd moving into a republicans seat for a pickup.
El Tinklenberg could pull an upset in the 6th for a pickup.
These above three races are tossup, and if they go our way, that would leave John Klein as the only republican representing the state of Minnesota in DC. That is if fighting Dem Steve Sarvi does not take him out first.
Check out El's ad here, I am not savvy enough to embed.
