I am compulsive about this election. I am constantly checking the polls and television to try to get the latest on what is happening. I am anxious and excited. Some of these television people are driving me nuts. Fox News is not allowed on in my house, CNN is too cute, C-Span watching and listening makes me feel hopeless, so I am left with MSNBC.
Help! Are any of you experiencing this? I can't find enough to watch on this election that has become a compulsion. Fox is not allowed on in my home. So that is out. CNN has this tendency to show a hurricane or a bloody war scene that is followed by a segment on a cute kitty cat than can flush the tiolet or Bernie a dog that can howl Notre Dame's fight song. And of course there is Wolf's continual presence. So that channel is usually out. I watch Larry King once in a while.
I can't watch too much C-Span because every third call on shows like the Washington Journal is from one of those blue-haired ladies from a McCain rally. C-Span watching is a cause of great depression for me. So, I am left with Hardball which is sometimes okay but Matthews gets so many simple things wrong that he can drive you to a bottle of Jack Daniels. David Gregory is the worst thing on this channel by a long ways. He reminds me of some guys who I play golf with who are terrible but SO want to be good. He thinks that he is any day now going to break a big story. He takes simple things and tries to spin them as profound. He has it out for Barack. Remember he was the loudest voice in keeping the Hillary-Bill thing going way beyond it's natural death. He never gives an inch on Barack's obvious lead. Lately, I turn to an old poker tournament on ESPN when he is on. I sometimes get Democracy Now on Free Speech television. But it fades out here too often. That sick Morning Joe thing is pathetic. Scarborough should be arrested for the way he abuses that poor Mika woman who looks like she is afraid of a backhand across the face if she doesn't keep her place.
Keith and Rachel are my only salvation. I can handle Pat Buchanan- he is performing a role on MSNBC so I give him that. But what happened to Andrea Mitchell? She gets things wrong and seems to have assumed the role of being the fair one on this channel. Brokaw could put group of kindergartens hyped up on too much Halloween candy asleep with that monotone. Who is your thorn in the ass?
