The McCain campaign (or its allies) have stooped to posting fake employment ads on Craig's List in Denver in an effort to get phone numbers and e-mail addresses from potential swing voters.
The ad in question is described as "Part-Time Social Secretary / Virtual Assistant (Anywhere in Denver Metro Area)" and comes with a caveat:
I am a Republican and this job will eventually include scheduling politically-related events. You don't need to be one party or the other, but you should feel comfortable helping the Republican cause or it just won't be the right match.
Applicants, who are expected to provide their phone numbers, won't get a job. But, they will get a robo-call inviting them to a McCain victory rally (and other robo-calls) and they will have their e-mail addresses added to a pro-McCain mailing list.
