I'm doing some research on the efficacy of street protests in the current media environment (MSM/blog coverage). I'm running a survey/experiment with students that, in part, asks them to rank (from a list of issues) the issues/causes that they care the most strongly about.
Right now, I'm trying to generate a good list of issues which i hope would reflect the range of issues that are of concern to young people (man, i feel old saying that!). I starting to look for national surveys conducted for the election cycle which rank issue priorities for the populace, but also include some breakdowns by age. Any recommendations?
I plan on sharing the results of my study here when it's completed sometime in December. I think it will have some interesting things to say about the value of street protests for organizations trying to reach through the common media frames to raise awareness on their issues.
