in Louisiana. Probably won't make a bit of difference in the overall scheme of things as the likelihood of Louisiana being carried by Obama is somewhere between "slim and none" but it sure did make me feel good. In fact I couldn't help exclaiming "CHA-CHING" as I pushed the button. Sorry this isn't a real diary and I'll delete, but I had to tell someone.
Update: Thanks for the kind comments. FYI: I also like to vote on election day but I voted early for two reasons: 1) In the event something happens to me before election day my vote will still count (Hey, I'm 65 years old, who knows what can happen?) and 2) it frees me up to be a poll watcher on election day.
My first presidential election was LBJ (I had been a big JFK supporter but too young to vote) and I haven't missed an election since (even/especially while I was in Vietnam), I am a student of political affairs and a "political junkie" and have worked on may local campaigns but this is the first national campaign I have ever supported with cash...not a huge amount but enough to help and put signs in front of my house and business. Again, GOBAMA!
SURPRISE! I just realized that I got "rec'd" by 10 of you kind souls. Makes a body feel good!
