The area around Las Vegas, NV and Henderson, NV has a large active duty and retired military population. Colin Powell's recent endorsement is opening minds that have previously been closed.   The time is ripe to convince these voters to come out for Barack Obama.  Check out this ad:

With as little as $100, I can place a daytime ad on a well known TV station.  As much as $320 will get us primetime.  We are up to $285 donated.  It would be wonderful to place more than one ad.

Although Nevada is projected to turn blue, I hate to see us take chances with any swing state.  We need to keep the ball rolling and continue to grab the interest of those still undecided voters.  I have lived at Nellis AFB in NV and I'm currently living at Randolph AFB in Texas.  I hear from fed-up Republicans everyday and many are choosing not to vote.  These people are close to coming to the conclusion that Barack Obama can be the next Commander in Chief and many are very close to giving him their vote.  Let's nudge a little more!

Deadline for placing ad is October 28th!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Every recommend will help us get closer to our goal!  Thanks!  Angie

  •  Really great ad! (0+ / 0-)

It annoys me no end when people just assume that military people are stupid enough to vote against their own best interests.  My sister works on an Air Force base here in San Antonio and she says most of the officers are supporting Obama.   There are three vets in my family voting for Obama.

    Thanks for posting this.

  •  AngelaJean, you need to confirm that the (0+ / 0-)

chipin account is not a scam.

I went on to donate and it directs to a Paypal site which behaves like it is a phishing site.

The email return address from this site has been determined to direct people to a phone number which is shady.

If you want donations, can you arrange with ActBlue or some other site which is more reputable than chipin?
