McCain has had 4 bouts with melanoma and access to his medical records has been squirrelly, at best. The fact that he's chosen a spectacularly unqualified running mate should place this concern front and center for any voter.
More attention recently has been paid to Palin’s $150,000 wardrobe and a McCain campaign worker’s bogus report of a mugging then the recent New York Times article calling for full disclosure of the candidates’ medical records:

In the Times article, Lawrence Altman singles out McCain’s melanoma history and calls for full medical disclosure by all candidates.
Some new information on this subject appears in correspondence published in the Oct. 25 issue of The Lancet. John Alam, M.D., a biotechnology consultant, does some statistical legwork and finds that "The melanoma resected from John McCain in 2000 -- one of four he has had removed -- represents at least a 6% annual mortality risk" ... that "6% risk translates into more than a one-in-five probability that McCain, the GOP candidate, would not survive a first term as president if elected."
