I contribute to a blog called Bark Obama (Cranky Dog Bloggers for Obama!) and last night I posted the below entry. This morning I woke up to find I had received gen-u-wine hate mail from someone at Eric Rudolph's BFF group "Army of God". Gorsh, I feel like a celebrity. (Hate mail follows post.)
Domestic Terrorists Aren't Always College Professors
Sarah Palin famous for, among other things, being found guilty of abuse of power as Governorriling up hate mongering crowds with the accusation that Barack Obama likes to pal around with domestic terrorists, appears in need of a phone-a-friend lifeline option. Again:
Palin resisted the suggestion that if Ayers was a "domestic terrorist" — a standard line in her campaign addresses — then so were conservative religious activists who bombed abortion clinics.
"I don’t know if you’re going to use the word ‘terrorist’ there," she said.
"I don't know..."? Here's a li'l help for the pitbull with $1000 lipstick - the Patriot Act says yuh-huh:
Section 802 of the USA PATRIOT Act (Pub. L. No. 107-52) expanded the definition of terrorism to cover ""domestic,"" as opposed to international, terrorism. A person engages in domestic terrorism if they do an act ""dangerous to human life"" that is a violation of the criminal laws of a state or the United States, if the act appears to be intended to: (i) intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination or kidnapping.
And in case that's too legal-ee for ya, here is some straight talk from Emily Lyons, the nurse who was nearly killed and permanently disfigured by abortion clinic (and serial) bomber Eric Rudolph:
"[He] is what I call a terrorist."
Still muddy on the issue? Perhaps the words of the widow of Robert "Sande" Sanderson, the off duty police officer killed by Rudolph's nail bomb while moonlighting as a security guard at the abortion clinic, will shed some light:
It's hell on earth that I am living. I miss every little thing about him. I think about him all the time. Sande is what was meant for me.
Sande worked the 11 [P.M.] to 7 [A.M.] shift, so I was used to him coming home in the morning. We'd walk the dogs, and sometimes he'd be hungry and I'd fix him some breakfast. I was used to ironing his uniform and polishing his badge and name tag. I find myself looking at the clock and thinking that he should be on his way home right now.
[...]
My oldest son, whose father died in a car accident when he was seven months old, said, "I lost my father when I was a baby and never got to know him, and now some sick, twisted," excuse me, but he said, "son of a bitch murdered my daddy." He lost the only man he had.
Palin: "I don’t know if you’re going to use the word ‘terrorist’ there." Dude... seriously?
END POST
Wingnut response: A new comment from "Rev Donald Spitz" was received on the post "Domestic Terrorists Aren't Always College Professors" of the weblog "Bark Obama!".
Comment:
Emily Lyons? She was a babykilling nurse at a babykilling abortion mill. She reaped what she sowed and deserved what happened to her. You seem to imply there is something wrong if a babykilling abortion mill is burned or bomb. Which do you prefer, a pile of bricks or a pile of dead babies? Innocent unborn babies deserve to be protected just as born children deserve to be protected. You would have no problem protecting born children if they were about to be murdered. SAY THIS PRAYER: Dear Jesus, I am a sinner and am headed to eternal hell because of my sins. I believe you died on the cross to take away my sins and to take me to heaven. Jesus, I ask you now to come into my heart and take away my sins and give me eternal life.
