In a recent poll by Voter Roll Call for the Richard Monroe for Congress campaign, 48% of the voters polled are finally seeing who Roy Blunt really represents--big business, lobbyists, and the oil companies. Monroe is getting closer and closer, but needs help to succeed in sending this neoconservative to his Virginia townhouse with his trophy, lobbyist wife.
The referenced poll showed that 54% of those who made under $40,000, the vast majority in SW Missouri, believe that Blunt does not represent their interests in Washington. He also rates unfavorable in the same demographic group by a 48 to 44% margin, who stated that they would vote for the Democratic candidate over Blunt.
Other areas of the poll reveal that 58% percent believe that Missouri is headed in the wrong direction economically and politically, and 74% believe that the economy in the state is weak. They are finally recognizing this guy for what he is.
The chances for a Monroe victory look better than before, but it is difficult for him to fight the deep pockets of Roy Blunt. The utility companies, corporate America, oil companies, and lobbyists do not want to lose this bootlicker for their interests. As evidenced by his voting record, Roy Blunt will sell his vote to the highest bidder every time. It is time for a change, and to "Restore Integrity" to the seventh district of Missouri.
