This is the best biography of Obama short of reading his books, published in the UK’s Guardian...

Obama as we knew him... man and boy
Schoolfriends remember his love for comic books, basketball and teasing the girls. A former boss recalls him as a young man running a community project in Chicago. A fellow senator remembers being beaten by him at poker. Gifted student, quiet persuader, charismatic speaker, loyal friend... We speak to the people who knew Barack Obama best, revealing an intimate, often touching, portrait of a man on the brink of greatness

Some interesting revelations from those who have known him during various points in his life.
He wanted to be a novelist? He loved comic books (me too). He’s a good poker player?
Why is this in a UK newspaper and not in a US paper?
Wow is this good stuff. Maybe so positive as to make a reader wonder if there are not at least a few dark spots.
Such picking of nits there. This is a must read.
And BTW...If you have Republican friends who simply don’t believe we know enough about Barack, this is a good article to reference, but the Barack Wikipedia entry is detailed, long, well-cited, and doesn’t leave much to the imagination.
