When I saw on Huffington Post this morning an article that on amazon.com a search for 'terrorist costume' revealed an Obama face mask, I was shocked.
I've been a user of amazon.com since the beginning. I loved the ease of shopping at home especially at the holidays because I hate the crowds. I purchased so much that I signed up for their prime shopping feature of no shipping if you pay a fee each year. Even this year when they had to start charging NYS tax I kept purchasing.
When I saw this article http://oxdown.firedoglake.com/... I was shocked. Who at amazon.com would even think of doing such an insulting act? As the article stated it has been changed but I believe amazon.com must release an apology to Senator Obama as well as to all their customers.
I went to their site to find a way to email them but couldn't find a listing for a contact. If any of you are web savvy enough to find one, please post it here so we can express our outrage at amazon.
If this has already been written about, let me know and I'll delete this. Thanks.
UPDATE: It appears the 'tagging' of the item was not done by amazon.com but rather by visitors to the site. I appreciate comments pointing this out. I'm going to check further just to see what happened. Amazon is one of my favorite online stores and I would hate to know this was done intentionally by one of their employees.
UPDATE: I looked at the various "Obama Masks" for sale and there are still tags listed on a few that say 'terrorist' 'terrorism' and 'terrorist attacks'. Will the problem keep recurring then? and can't amazon.com remove tags?
