I am former life-long republican, who switched to the libertarian party after watching our federal government waste trillions of dollars on a stupid war mongering foreign policy.
I am also a Catholic, and before this election, I have never voted for a democrat. Still, I consider myself an independent. I usually work at least 12 hours a day, so my view on the current political race is limited by my ability to research the issues. That being said, this is how I see the messages of the two candidates.
Obama's Message:
Change the failed policies of the past, rise above fear based politics, and restore hope to our country.
McCain's Messages:
Obama has only been to Iraq a few times
Obama is a celebrity
Obama won't take my tax dollars for the election
Obama is a community organizer
Obama is inexperienced
Stop pork barrel earmarks
The economy is strong
STOP EVERYTHING THE ECONOMY IS MELTIING!
OK, I'm back, Obama just doesn't understand
Obama is a terrorist
Obama is a muslim
Obama is a socialist
Obama wants to tax the economy to death
Obama wants to "spread the wealth"
God wants Obama to lose
