I've been hoping to see this -- now I have. California's powerful Senator, Dianne Feinstein, has filmed an ad against Proposition 8 and we need your help to let it air in California.
It's clear and to the point: Prop 8 wants to amend our state constitution, take away fundamental rights, and treat people differently under the law, "and we must always say no to that. No matter how you feel about marriage, vote against discrimination and vote 'no' on 8."
Is it radical, angry, or even powerful? Of course not. But no one who would listen to Feinstein would be moved by a message like that. This, I believe, simply cuts out all the crap, and drives home a very simple message. She states clearly this has nothing to do with schools or children, but only with discrimination
I'm about to go out the door to wave "No on 8" signs in front of the premiere of the film "Milk," the story of Harvey Milk, at the Castro Theater right now. But since some other Kossaks had been wondering where Feinstein was on this issue, I wanted to get it out.
