With 7 days to the election here is the latest Electoral Map Roundup of the elite mainstream media, the not so elite mainstream media, with patriotic blogs and non-patriotic blogs.

Of Note:  This week MSNBC moved Obama into the over 270 territory.

They are listed in order of the map that gives the greatest electoral advantage to Obama down to Fox News, which has McCain up 6 electoral votes, seriously!

I have always had a fascinations with maps since I won the geography bee in the 7th grade.  Here is my gift to you, so you don't have to go out and visit every site to see how the maps compare.

Thanks to Malcolm for the poll idea!

Faux News
Obama 183 - McSame 189

I posted their map from two weeks ago again.  To be fair this is Bill O'Reilly's map.  It is the only prognostication on Faux News.

From last week's electoral map roundup

I posted the map on the right last week and didn't realize their mistake.
You might notice the map on the right looks identical to their most recent electoral map, however if you pull out the trusty calculator you will see that the math adds up for the one on the left, while the old map on the right is obviously incorrect.

It seems that Faux News doesn't just fail science, civics, ethics, and journalism, but first grade addition as well.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
