Find your inner Frankenstein, knock on some doors in costume, then party down with like-minded volunteers at Trick or Vote!
It's the largest get-out-the-vote canvass...in costume...come change the world on Halloween!

Party! 8:00pm
Here's the deal: Studies show the most effective way to get people to vote is to simply knock on their door and ask them. So, what's the one day each year that people actually expect strangers to knock on their doors? Halloween, which takes place when? Yes, October 31, but also a mere 4 days before the Election!
What is it exactly?
Trick or Vote is the nation's largest, nonpartisan scare-out-the-vote effort. Just 4 days before the election, 1000 costumed volunteers will canvass low-turnout, youth-dense precincts to remind people to vote and distribute nonpartisan voter guides.
Trick or Voters will arrive either at 3:30 or 5:30, depending on work and school schedules, be assigned to a team, receive a Get Out the Vote canvass training and head out to remind people to vote. After the massive canvass we'll gather again at Audio Cinema for the Ghouls and Goblins Gala, a Halloween bash of epic proportions, featuring great local bands Blue Giant and Blind Pilot with a late night dance set by DJ Beyonda -- and it's free for volunteers!
Never volunteered before? It's ok! Trick or Vote is an easy way for first time volunteers to make a meaningful impact. In 2004, of the 800 volunteers at Trick or Vote, 227 of them indicated with a checkbox that Trick or Vote was their first political volunteer experience.
