Well, his analysis is largely BS. But I don't think his polls are dishonest. He had one outlier day on Sunday, and it just dropped off the rolling average while Obama had a decent day.
Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby Poll: Obama 50.2%, McCain 43.3%
Obama gains, McCain slips
UTICA, New York – Democrat Barack Obama has inched forward again, once again expanding his lead above 50% and moving outside the margin of error as rival John McCain slipped more than a full point, the latest Reuters/C–SPAN/Zogby daily tracking telephone poll shows.
But no mention on Drudge, of course.
Zogby goes on to point out that this was all done before the infomercial. I suspect the infomercial will have a slight positive effect for Obama, but Zogby makes no guesses.
Zogby also goes on to explain how this lead is terrible news for McCain, which seems pretty apparent to all.
And of course, the internals look even better:
Obama increased his lead among independent voters to 19 points, up from 16 points yesterday. McCain’s support among his base of Republican voters waned just slightly, dropping two points to 85% in this latest report, while Obama’s support among Democratic Party voters remained steady at 84%.
If you squeeze that into 40-32-28 (not unreasonable), that's Obama up by 13.
37-33-30? That's a 10 point Obama lead.
