I'm from the philly area and I know everyone gives Mason-Dixon enormous credit around here, but everyone is so excited about Obama, so what is going on here?
Andrea Mitchell made the announcement just now on MSNBC and they put up the numbers officially, wasn't just an off-the-cuff remark
So does anyone know what polls are the "gold standard" (say in 2004) in PA, and if MD is some outlier...and if so why?
I grew up in racist, yes racist, Northeast PA, and i know those people won't vote for Obama simply because he is black
I am worried, I am a chronic worrier, but at least i have a reason, a +4 only poll, and we all know undecideds in PA are going to break hard for McCain more than any other battleground state
Edit:
HERE ARE THE 2004 POLL RESULTS AND ACTUAL RESULTS
Everyone is citing CNN...uhh they had Bush up +4, and were terrible off, I do not trust them in PA
Mason Dixon had Kerry up +2, EXACTLY how the race turned out...with my friends in Northeast PA going heavy for Kerry, race playing no factor
Qpac was off 2 points in PA, and they're from here...jesus that bothered me
zogby...ignore, and was wrong anyway
SurveyUSA was swinging between +4 and +1

^see for yourself
I don't even see a lot of these current polls being active in 2004
EDIT 2X: As someone has noted, Obama is up +2 from a month ago in MD, that is relevant info
