Note: Just before the 2006 elections, I did a similar diary on the Rising Stars of 2006. Even though I was spectacularly wrong--in retrospect, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) is clearly the star of the class of '06 and my diary didn't even mention him--I thought I'd try it again.
The 2008 election looks to be another great year for Democrats, with dozens of new faces in the Senate, House and Governorships, as well as other offices. Most likely, one or more of these new Governors, Senators or House members will be running for President or Vice President in 2016, 2020 or beyond. But who?
(In order to stay within Kos's 15-line limit for the poll I made a few editorial judgments, and arbitrarily eliminated anyone over 60, including Jim Martin, Jeanne Shaheen & Tom Udall.)
