Last night I was at a dinner party with a few friends, definitely of the left-of-center persuasion. One, a Marxist, had the best argument I've ever heard for voting for McCain.
Of course we know that according to Marxism, it is in industrialized nations where the collapse of capitalism would occur, simply because the contradictions in the system can accumulate more intensely there.
So, the Bush Administration has brought us close to the brink of this, hasn't it?
If we want to take it totally over the edge, to the last, fatal economic collapse, who better than McCain? He will continue the Bush economic policies that have brought us to the brink, and as a consequence we'll be in the middle of a proliteriat revolution faster than we can blink an eye!
According to InfoPlease:
The capitalist system and the bourgeoisie were seen as riven with weaknesses and contradictions, which would become increasingly severe as industrialization progressed and would manifest themselves in increasingly severe economic crises. According to the Communist Manifesto, it would be in a highly industrialized nation, where the crises of capitalism and the consciousness of the workers were far advanced, that the proletarian overthrow of bourgeois society would first succeed.
So, what better way than to bring about this crisis of capitalism, and to raise the consciousness of the workers, than to vote for someone who will bring us ever escalating economic crises.
You see, it's not that socialists are for Obama, it's that Marxists are for McCain!
