I've been mulling this over. I've spent a lot of this year arguing with conservatives and debunking Obama smears. The Politico was nice enough to give me credit for debunking Larry Johnson's "whitey tape" rumor. In thinking about that, I realized something.
I reeeeeaaaaally want to read Johnson's blog if Obama wins.
That got me thinking. An Obama victory would be a crushing, humiliating blow to some of the worst people in our public discourse. A year spent yelling lies and obscenities about the guy will have been wasted, and they will have watched good people outnumber them and shut their bullshit down.
Eventually these people will become insufferable again. They'll try and demean and destroy Obama for eight years. But if Obama wins, on Wednesday I'm going to read the hell out of them. Examples (without links to their crap):
- Atlas Shrugs, the blog of Pamela Gellar, a crazy Arab-hater who has bitten down hard on the "Obama was born in Kenya or Indonesia or something!" rumor.
- Larry Johnson's No Quarter.
- National Review's The Corner.
- Little Green Footballs.
- Free Republic.
I'll set up a poll, and I want to know your choices, too.
