Okay I'm bored and up late so I thought of making a top ten list of reasons why anyone--though namely myself--should be glad for an Obama victory. Yes I am assuming Obama wins, I see absolutely no reason why we should feel like we'll lose this (I do doubt the claims of complacency and kind of ignore the whining about whether ppl will show up to vote), and it does make things simpler. So without further adieu, here's my ten reasons in descending order. To make it interesting, I am not including the obvious stuff: 4 years without a GOPer in the White House and the reduction of stress involved, as well as hopefully improving the country and our standing in the world.
Note that this is satirical and probably not a diary by some people's standards, but hey it's more than 3 paragraphs and it's at an hour unlikely to bounce too many things off the list.
- No more having to yell at McSame that we are not his friends
- Being able to get off the Xanax from all the hand-wringing
- Being able to tell your future children/grandchildren that you voted for "That One"
- No longer having to hurt your head trying to understand all the numbers involved with polls.
- Keith Olbermann can finally countdown to the number of days before Inauguration at the beginning of his show (someone should tell him to do so)
- Seeing Michael Savage in a straitjacket, as it is about time
- It will talk Rachel Maddow down, but this is doubtful
- Palin can go drill-baby-drill back home in Wasilla and hopefully end her political career with her scandals
- No more f*cking Joe the Plumber aka Sam the Fraudulent sell-out
and the number one reason:
- Watching Fox Noise be all silent and sad all Tuesday night once
they're forced to call it after a significant delay from the rest
of the networks, and seeing if anyone goes postal on there. In
other words, SCHADENFREUDE galore!
