The UWSP Students for Obama woke up early this election day 2008 to decorate the campus and remind people that it's time for change.

I have taken to calling the symbol above the "Hopeball". I personally helped paint dozens of them on big ol' yardsigns that dot the countryside this fine (70 degrees=) November day in Central Wisconsin. Those signs (there's hundreds of 'em) will be properly stored and redistributed in 45 months for reelection campaign.
The Hopeball shown above is on the Sprecht Memorial Sundial at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. This is the campus' main plaza. Note the long November shadows at midday in November. Winter is coming. I estimate the Hopeball to be about 50 feet in diameter.
The tent is part of the Obama campaign and is staffed to instruct students where to vote (even in our residence halls, students are divided among 3 different polling precincts, so some students have to go all over town to vote.)
Some students are fortunate enough to be in the precinct that does vote on campus. They go to the Dreyfus Memorial University Center. The polling and registration areas were well ordered before noon and the lines did not appear to be very long, though it also looked like there were ample staff. Their were observers both in the polling area and the adjacent registration area.

The Obama campaign has been operating a field office here in Point since summer. They have done a bang up job recruiting volunteers and making thousands of voter contacts. We also had independent groups in Central Wisconsin doing GOTV for the last couple of days. Wisconsin stays blue for 2008!
