Vermonters Line Up to Vote
Like many other places in the country where, even though the outcome is not in doubt, Vermonters are turning out in apparent record numbers to vote:
The secretary of state is predicting a turnout of more than 70 percent-- which is the usual for a presidential election in Vermont. The record was 76 percent set back in 1992, the first Clinton election.
Plus some pictures of voting in Vermont today.

Officials predict record turnout at polls
Turnout is obviously the big early story of the day everywhere. Great to see it in New Hampshire as well:
Secretary of State Bill Gardner is predicting 750,000 people will vote in New Hampshire today. That would surpass the previous turnout record of 683,000 voters in the 2004 election.

Turnout tales: 'We ran out of whoopie pies at 9'
Interesting anecdotal tales from New Hampshire from this blog entry. My favorite part:
Also spotted in Bow this morning: a miniature donkey sporting an Obama-Biden getup. Sources told us the donkey belongs to Cynthia Gunn, who apparently trucked the donkey in and led the animal down the road and paraded it outside to show support for the Democrats.
