Wait just a minute! Georgia results apparently do not include early vote totals, which went heavily for Obama!
From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
With nearly 90 percent of the state’s precincts reporting, McCain had a huge lead: 56 percent to 44 percent for Obama... But those figures included fewer results from metro Atlanta and apparently none of the ballots cast in metro Atlanta during massive early and advance voting. More than 600,000 ballots cast before Tuesday in Cobb, Fulton, DeKalb and Gwinnett were to be counted after the live Tuesday votes.
This left Obama’s Georgia team hopeful."
There you go. That makes sense. Looks like our friend Saxby Chambliss is headed for a run-off.
South Carolina called for McCain. Lindsey Graham wins easily.

An incredible 1.99 million people voted early in Georgia, 36 percent of all registered voters and 60 percent of the total who voted in 2004. African Americans accounted for 35 percent of all early voters, but only 29 percent of the state's total voters.
In other words, Obama's early get-out-the-vote campaign in Georgia kicked serious Republican ass! (WTG, Georgia!)
In South Carolina, AP has called the Senate race for Lindsey Graham, an easy victory, no real results yet. Oh, well. It was never competitive.
