Well, we're two days into the planning phase for the eventual transition to the new Administration, and can there be anyone left here who doesn't yet realize that Barack Obama must be removed from office at the earliest possible moment?
I mean, talk about a sense of betrayal. Here's a man who got all our hopes up. He's not even in office yet. And what does he do? Exactly what he said he would! He must go!
---->
First, the shocker. He appoints his close friend and advisor Rahm Emanuel as his right hand man, his Chief of Staff. This is a man whose only qualifications for the position are being the fourth ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives and seven years of service in the last Democratic administration.
OH NOES!!!! WHO COULD EVER HAVE SEEN THAT COMING???????
My god, we've been blindsided! I thought it would Raoul Castro!
Now, many people have pointed out, using various terminology, that Mr. Emanuel is a fervent supporter of Israel. How could he possibly have such a sensitive position working for Barack Obama who shares this same commitment! We were promised change! I expect a White House staff with an agenda opposite to President Obama's! That would be different!
Really, I only voted for Obama because I thought everything he said was a lie! I'm shocked -- shocked -- to find out he's appointing people who share his stated beliefs.
You know what else? That whole post-partisan thing. I expected a post-partisan government composed entirely of Democrats. Okay, maybe an occasional Green Party official. Maybe even Ralph Nader. I hear he loves so Obama so much he considers him a member of the family. An uncle, or something. But Obama's apparently considering Republicans for Secretary of Defense or Secretary of State. Republicans! I mean, what the heck kind of post-partisan approach is that?
Who could have imagined he was telling the truth about this stuff? Certainly not me. When I elect someone who says he's going to create a post-partisan centrist government that will work to actual pass legislation in Washington and who peoples his campaign advisors with former Clinton administration policy wonks I hardly expect him to create a post-partisan centrist government that works to actually compromise on getting legislation passed in Washington! And for heaven's sake -- people who know the Clintons? That's beyond the pale.
Barack Obama is cheating me. He's doing exactly what he said he would, instead of what I imagined he would.
Barack Obama was honest with us during his campaign.
He must be punished.
