My son is a 20 yr old college student currently studing in Morocco. Sadly, his internet access is severely limited. I finally heard from him this morning. He said he stayed up all night watching the election.
He is staying with a host family, an older couple who speak almost no english. He said his host dad was shouting "MABRUK OBAMA!"
(congratulations Obama)and that people keep stopping him in the street because he looks american to congratulate him on his country electing Obama. How cool is that?
I will just say that after I got home from my first stint at ballot counting I had to rewind TIVO a bit to get to Keith Olbermann calling it ( so glad it was him!) I burst into tears. Sorry this diary is short but I just thought that my son's experience in a foreign country was interesting.
