With all of the discussion of Proposition 8, it seems like not very many people are celebrating the fact that we now have a president and congress that are very much against Don't Ask Don't Tell.
This to me seems like it would be a much more important civil rights issue than same sex marriage ever was. Yes, I know that equality is important in all aspects of society, although I do understand the reasons there are those who are against same sex marriage, descriminating on the basis of sexual orientation by the government for military service seems to be even more unacceptable to me.
