Just for fun, on election day I stopped over at Redstate to gather a few last minute predictions from the Gooper crowd.
It now seems that their data was slightly askew.
These folks would have done better with tea leaves, tarot cards, I-ching,
or astrology.
It looks like the pollsters really blew it in the battleground states.
They totally missed how the numbers were going "hard and fast" in McSame's favor.
MHG must have one hell of source:
I just talked to one of my best Team McCain sources who told me that heading into today all the key battleground polls were moving hard and fast in their direction. The source, hardly a perma-optimist, thinks it will be a long night, but that McCain is going to win. So add this with the new Battleground poll (Obama +1.9 only) and the rising stock market...

It seems that a mid-morning stock rally indicated a huge McCain win.
Man, why didn't we see it coming?

The markets usually know everything. Somebody may have seen the internal polls with McCain up.

We also totally overlooked the devastating impact of the PUMA vote:
To: jrooney
I saw my first honest-to-god PUMA waiting in line at my polling place!
She had a Hillary Clinton button on. I just wanted to hug her! She was middle aged, white and cheery! Just like all many PUMAs.
They ARE real, and if I saw one in my line of maybe 30 people, they are definitely going to give BO a heart attack today.
Who would have known that this election would generate so much love for Hillary by Redstaters? What a beautiful thing:
To: jrooney
I just want to THANK all of the PUMAs for figuring out the truth about the Obama / Media machine. I hope conservatives and PUMAs are happy tonight, no matter how late. I have more respect for Hillary than I ever had because of the quality of her supporters.

Glad to know that keat has such great respect for Hillary's supporters.
Wow, it looks like we also missed the huge impact of the imaginary Acorn scandal:
For discussion, assume that the ACORN fraud votes will cancel the broken glass voters showing up this time that didn't bother to vote in '06.
Smile, have a piece of Halloween candy. The Marxist Democrat isn't going to win this election, even with his army of cheating ACORNS.

Damn that Acorn army!
What really surprised me though, is how everyone but Redstaters did not see an Obama coup coming:
Assuming The One (if his coup works today) doesn't institute Marshall Law or a supermajority senate doesn't okay massive election changes in their favor...we have Governor Sarah Palin to look forward to electing in 2012.

I agree. We certainly do have a Palin candidacy to look forward to.
What I want tickets for is the Obama/Palin debate.
Sarah the diva might want to take a geography course first.
Lastly Kossacks,we so sorely neglected that well known demographic of Reagan Democrats whom are convinced that Obama is a "commie."
To: jrooney
I just voted for McCain here in Michigan. While at the polls I overheard a person saying "I don’t care if I am a Democrat, I’m not voting for a g*dd*mned commie!". Probably a Reagan-Democrat or a PUMA.
It’s gonna be a very long night for Barry. LOL

Well, I guess it was a long night for Barry. What with watching all of those red states turning blue, McCain taking a legendary thumping, listening to his supporters shouting in frustration during his concession speech, and giving a victory speech to a crowd of 75,000 plus in Grant Park last Tuesday. Yes, it was a long night indeed. How glorious it all was.
Oh, and one more thing. The name is President-elect Barack Hussein Obama.
Not Barry.LOL indeed.
