With all this talk around the media deciding whether or not President-Elect Obama should be bold or not, I've moved past the issue and am trying to find new ways to be BOLD. Why is now not the best time to regulate marijuana and hemp? Our Economy is in crisis and in desperate need of jobs. Why not establish an entire new industry. Completely new money in the system instead of it funding the black market.
If one reads up on history the only precedent we have to look to is Alcohol Prohibition. So when and what were the political climate of that time was it repealed? 1933 in the midst of the Great Depression.
Whether or not marijuana is good or bad, we need to move past this argument and be more pragmatic. This is the moment in time when we can make it happen. We have the most cannabis friendly gov't in a long time, we have the economic climate for real opportunity.
