I'm willing to wait until he is in office but recent news has got me down.
We put Obama in office with a clear message that we want change but his actions are leaving me a tad worried.
In order to get a fresh start we elected a new president and I for one hoped that meant we would be getting other new people in the White House to help create this change. However that doesn't seem to be what is happening.
Many of the people Obama is putting into his cabinet are all old members of the Clinton era. I can understand that. You want people that have experience at the highest levels so that they can hit the ground running. But to have Hillary Clinton as Sec. of State is a real slap in the face.
I voted for Obama over Hillary in the first Nebraska caucus because I as tired of seeing Bushes and Clintons in the White House. I felt that both dynasties helped each other run the country for far too long and had to many ties to each other. Then during the election Hillary went out of her way when she as losing to try to pull Obama down and gave McCain plenty of ammo to use against him.
Now she might be his Sec. of State. WTF?!?!!?!?!!?!?!
If Hillary is there then that means that Bill won't be too far away. Besides the issue of whose side they are really on half the time there is a lot of baggage that they bring with them. The Fox speaking heads couldn't get a better present than to have Obama tied to the Clintons. The same Clintons who didn't invite Obama to their conference earlier this fall that they invited McCain to.
It just seems to be the same old same old. What a let down.
On top of that you have Traitor Joe now getting let off the hook for all of his actions the past two years. When is the Democractic Party going to grow a f*cking backbone and stand up for itself? Obama said he didn;t want to see him kicked from the party. Again...WTF?!?!?! This guy trashed talked Obama all election season, didn't do his job in the Senate and now he is getting a slap on the wrist?
What's next? Sarah Palin getting the Sec. of Education spot??!?!
The only good news since the election is the fact that my home state of Nebraska turned blue enough to give Obama at least on electoral vote. Too bad it looks like the change we voted for is turning into more of the usual Washington DC BS.
